Start By:a. separation of trackb. remove axles 1. Install cover (1) on the final drive housing. Cover (1) was removed when the axles were removed. 2. Adjust bracket (2) on Tooling (A) until dimension (X) is approximately 25.4 mm (1 in). 3. Fasten a hoist and Tooling (A) to the final drive housing as shown.
Do not remove bolts (4) that hold the steering clutch and brake to the final drive.
4. Put Tool (B) in position on Tool (A) to balance the final drive and steering clutch and brake when the bolts are removed.5. Remove bolts (3) and (5). Remove the final drive and steering clutch and brake (6) as an assembly. The weight of the final drive and steering clutch and brake is 381 kg (840 lb). 6. Remove O-ring seals (7) and (8) from the steering clutch and brake housing. The following steps are for installation of the steering clutch and brake.7. Put O-ring seals (7) and (8) in position on the steering clutch and brake housing.8. Fasten a hoist and Tooling (A) to the final drive and steering clutch and brake (6). Use Tool (B), and put the final drive and steering clutch and brake in position in the frame. Install bolts (3) and (5).9. Remove Tooling (A).10.
