(12) Gauge warning area Most of the system events for the VIMS are delayed by eight seconds from the beginning of the event until the event is displayed. Any system event that is shown in the event list will include the eight second duration of the event. System events that originate in other Electronic Control Modules are delayed in the software of that ECM. System events that pertain to the VIMS are not included. The VIMS will immediately show an event when the event is shown in the original ECM.ACTIVE diagnostic codes are shown in message area (10). A diagnostic code is specified by showing that a parameter has an ERROR. Also, instructions are given to the operator. An example of an instruction would be “CALL SHOP”. Each system event that is ACTIVE will scroll in the message area in three second intervals. The following illustration is an example of an error in the circuit for the differential oil pressure.
