1. Raise the axles until the strut rods in the suspension cylinders are fully extended.2. Move the wheels to a straight ahead position.3. Measure the distance between the front tires at location (F). Mark location (F) at each tire and rotate 180°. Again measure distance (B) between the same marks. The correct toe-out for the front wheels (with the wheels off the ground) is when distance (B) at the back of the tires is 48.5 mm (1.91 in.) less than distance (F) at the front of tires.4. If the difference between the two measurements is not correct, both link assemblies must be either made shorter for more toe-out or made longer for less toe-out, but the changed length of each link assembly must be the same. A new link assembly (before any length adjustments) is 1674.37 mm (65.92 in.), minus the distance between socket assembly centers. When the difference between measurements (F) and (B) is correct, there is front wheel toe-in when the truck is in normal operation with correctly filled (pressure) suspension cylinders.
