TRACK-TYPE TRACTOR,
Information:
Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire. To help prevent possible injury, turn the start switch off when changing fuel filters or water separator elements. Clean up fuel spills immediately.
Use a suitable container to catch any fuel that might spill. Clean up any spilled fuel immediately.

Do not allow dirt to enter the fuel system. Thoroughly clean the area around a fuel system component that will be disconnected. Fit a suitable cover over disconnected fuel system component.
Loosen the bolt at the top of the fuel filter in order to open a vent.

Priming Lever for the Fuel Lift PumpNote: It is not possible to operate the priming lever if the cam of the fuel lift pump is at the maximum lift position of the cam. If this occurs, the crankshaft must be rotated one revolution.
Operate the priming lever for the fuel lift pump until the flow of fuel from the vent is continuous and free of air bubbles. Tighten the bolt at the top of the fuel filter.

Nut for the Fuel Inlet Line at the Fuel Injection Pump
Loosen the nut for the fuel inlet line at the fuel injection pump in order to open a vent.
Ensure that the manual stop control (if equipped) is in the RUN position. Turn the start switch to the RUN position. Operate the priming lever for the fuel lift pump until the flow of fuel from the vent is continuous and free of air bubbles. Tighten the nut for the fuel inlet line.

Fuel Line Nuts at the Fuel Injection Nozzles
Loosen two of the fuel line nuts at two of the fuel injection nozzles in order to open two vents.
Do not crank the engine continuously for more than 30 seconds. Allow the starting motor to cool for two minutes before cranking the engine again.
Ensure that the manual stop control (if equipped) is in the RUN position. Crank the starting motor until the flow of fuel from the vents is continuous and free of air bubbles. Tighten the fuel line nuts.
Ensure that all fuel line connections are secure and tightened to the proper torque. Ensure that any spilled fuel is cleaned up.
Start the engine. The engine may run rough. Run the engine at low idle until the engine runs smoothly. If the engine will not start, further priming may be necessary. If the engine starts and if the engine continues to misfire or smoke, one or more of the following conditions may be present:
The fuel system requires more priming.
There may be an air leak in the fuel system.
