3. Remove four bolts and washers (3) holding fan guard assemblies (4) together.4. Remove two bolts, washers, and clips (5) and reposition refrigerant hose assembly (2).5. Remove eight bolts and washers (1), and remove fan guard assemblies (4). 6. Support fan spider assembly (10) with tooling (B) and a hoist as shown.7. Loosen the clamps holding hump hoses (6). Slide hump hoses (6) onto aftercooler tubes (7). Remove aftercooler tubes (7).8. Remove six bolts and washers (9) from fan spider assembly (10).9. Remove fan spider assembly (10) from the fan drive, and carefully rest it inside of the radiator assembly (8). Remove tooling (B) and hoist from fan spider assembly (10).
Do not damage the radiator core when fan spider assembly (10) is placed against it.
10. Disconnect three upper radiator hoses (11). 11. Disconnect lower radiator hose (12).12. Remove six bolts and washers (13) from lower fan shields. 13. Remove six bolts (14) and washers holding air conditioning condenser assembly (16). Lift air conditioning condenser assembly (16) off the frame of radiator assembly (8) and set it aside.
As an alternate method, air conditioning condenser assembly (16) can be removed with radiator assembly (8), if desired. To remove air conditioning condenser assembly (16) with radiator assembly (8) requires removing the two refrigerant lines to air conditioning condenser assembly (16).
See "Purging the System" located in the Air Conditioning and Heating Service Manual, SENR3334 or SENR5664 for the correct procedure.14. Disconnect two hydraulic oil lines (15). 15. Install tooling (A) and hoist to radiator assembly (8). 16. Remove bolt and washer from the bracket at horn assembly (17) and set it aside.17. Remove five bolts and washers (18) from each side of the base of radiator assembly (8).
Be sure when removing radiator assembly (8) that fan spider assembly (10) does not fall out of the opening in the back or radiator assembly (8).
18. Remove radiator assembly (8). Radiator assembly (8) weighs 294 kg (650 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the radiator assembly.19. Use a hoist to position radiator assembly (8). Install five bolts and washers (18), at the base on each side of radiator assembly (8). Remove the hoist and tooling (A).20. Install air conditioning condenser assembly (16). If air conditioning condenser assembly (16) was removed with radiator assembly (8), connect the two refrigerant lines. See "Complete Charge of the System" in the Air Conditioning and Heating Service Manual, SENR3334 or SENR5664 for the correct procedure.21. Connect two hydraulic oil lines (15).22. Install horn assembly (17).23. Install six bolts (13) and washers in lower fan shield.24. Connect three upper radiator hoses (11) and one lower radiator hose (12) to radiator assembly (8).25. Fasten tooling (B) and a hoist to fan spider assembly (10), and secure in position with six bolts and washers (9).26. Install two fan guard assemblies (4), and secure with bolts and washers (1) and (3).27. Install aftercooler tubes (7) by repositioning hump hoses (6) and tightening hose clamps.28. Install bolts (5) and refrigerant hose assemblies
