Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Loosen the nuts on both clamp assemblies (1) .
Remove clamp assemblies (4) and remove bolts (3) .
Remove bolt (5) and remove tube assembly (2) .

Disconnect breather tube (8) from the valve mechanism cover (7) .
Remove bolts (6) that hold valve mechanism cover (7) to the valve mechanism cover base. Remove the valve mechanism cover (7) .Installation Procedure

Tightening sequence
Position valve mechanism cover (7) on the valve mechanism cover base. Install bolts (6). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 18 3 N m (13 2 lb ft) in the numerical sequence that is shown in Illustration 5.
Install breather tube (8) to the valve mechanism cover.

Position tube assembly (2) and install clamp assemblies (4) .
Install bolts (3) and (5) .
Install clamp assemblies (1). Tighten the nuts on clamp assemblies (1) to a torque of 14 1 N m (124 9 lb in). Lightly tap around the diameter of the clamp assembly with a soft hammer. Tighten the nut to a torque of 14 1 N m (124 9 lb in).
