Put a 8T-0853 Pressure Gauge ( 0 to 400 kPa (0 to 58 psi)) at the inlet for the brake cooling oil. Use pressure tap (2) at the rear wheels. Install a 6V-3965 Nipple at location (3) at the front wheels.
Make sure that the temperature of the oil is between 79°C (175°F) and 93°C (200°F).
Run the engine at low idle. The pressure on the pressure gauge must not be below 14 kPa (2 psi).
Run the engine at high idle. The pressure on the pressure gauge must not be above 172 kPa (25 psi).Note: If this pressure is exceeded, seal damage will result.Note: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, RENR8330, "Relief Valve (Brake Oil Cooler) - Test and Adjust" section for instructions to adjust the brake cooling oil pressure.
