1. Loosen nut and disconnect wire (1).2. Disconnect hose (2). Remove three bolts (4), then remove pressure relief valve (3) for torque converter outlet. The following steps are for the installation of the relief valve for torque converter outlet.3. Put pressure relief valve (3) for torque converter outlet in position on torque converter with three bolts (4) that hold it. Tighten three bolts (4) to a torque of 35 3 N m (26 2 lb ft).4. Connect hose (2) and wire (1). Tighten the nut that holds the wire.Disassemble & Assemble Pressure Relief Valve For Torque Converter Outlet
Start By:a. remove pressure relief valve for torque converter 1. Remove four bolts (1) and two end covers (2). Remove two O-ring seals (4) from the valve body. Remove valve spool and spring assembly (3). 2. Remove spring (5) and spacers (6) from the valve spool. Remove spiral ring (10), retainer (9), spring (8) and poppet (7) from the valve spool. The following steps are for the assembly of the pressure relief valve for torque converter outlet.3. Install spacers (6) and spring (5) in the valve spool. Install poppet (7), spring (8), retainer (9) and spiral ring (10).4. Install valve spool and spring (3) in the valve body. Install two new O-ring seals (4) on the valve body. Install end covers (2) with four bolts (1). Tighten four bolts (1) to a torque of 48 7 N m (35 5 lb ft).End By:a. install pressure relief valve for torque converter outlet.
