Remove the center drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Center) - Remove and Install".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Install Tooling (A) on both sides of the tire.

Install Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device onto drive shaft and drive shaft carrier bearing assembly (1) and the machine frame.

Remove bolts (2) in order to separate drive shaft and drive shaft carrier bearing assembly (1) from the spider.

Disconnect tube assembly (3). Remove bolts (4).

Use Tooling (C) in order to separatedrive shaft and drive shaft carrier bearing assembly (1) from the machine frame. Remove Tooling (C).

Attach Tooling (D) onto drive shaft and drive shaft carrier bearing assembly (1). Attach Tooling (E) onto the machine frame and onto Tooling (D). The weight of drive shaft and drive shaft carrier bearing assembly (1) is approximately 127 kg (280 lb).

Use Tooling (B), Tooling (D), and Tooling (E) in order to position drive shaft and drive shaft carrier bearing assembly (1), as shown. Remove Tooling (B), Tooling (D), and Tooling (E) from drive shaft and drive shaft carrier bearing assembly (1).

Use Tooling (E) and a suitable lifting device in order to position drive shaft and drive shaft carrier bearing (1) under steering cylinder (5), as shown.
Attach two suitable lifting devices onto drive shaft and drive shaft carrier bearing (1). Remove Tooling (E).
Remove drive shaft and drive shaft carrier bearing assembly (1).
