HOSE AS 2119958 - Caterpillar

1. Remove the retaining bolts (3) for oil pan from the cover of timing gears. Loosen remainder of retaining bolts for oil pan and plate.2. Remove the bolts (2) that hold front support to the frame. Fasten a hoist and lift front of engine until weight is off front support. Remove bolts (1). Remove front support (4). 3. Install spacers (7) and (8) between cylinder block and oil pan plate. Put blocks under the engine at sides of cylinder block at oil pan plate. Lower the engine onto the blocks.
Do not support the engine by putting blocks under the oil pan. Damage to the oil pan may result.
4. Remove the bolts (5) and nuts that hold the cover to block and plate of timing gears. Remove the cover of timing gears (6).Install Timing Gear Cover
1. Install a new gasket under cover of timing gears. Cut gasket even with bottom of cylinder block. Put cover of timing gears into position and install the retaining bolts and nuts.2. Fasten a hoist and raise engine until weight is off block. Remove the blocks. Put the front support in position, and install retaining bolts in cover of timing gears.3. Lower the engine onto front support. Install the two bolts and nuts in front support.4. Remove both spacers. Install and tighten all retaining bolts of oil pan and plate.end by: a) install water pumpb) install air compressorc) install alternatord) install fan drivee) install vibration damper and crankshaft pulley
