Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the lower sheave block. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Sheave Block (Lower) - Remove".

Remove bolts (2), plate (3), bolt (7), the washer, retainer (5), and nuts (6) from load sheave block (1) .
Attach a suitable lifting device to plate (4) and remove plate (4). The weight of plate (4) is approximately 33 kg (73 lb).
Attach a suitable lifting device to hook assembly (8). The weight of hook assembly (8) is approximately 57 kg (125 lb). Remove hook assembly (8) .

Remove bolts (9), plate (10), the O-ring seal, retainer (11), cover (12), bearing (13), washers (14), and trunnion (15) from hook assembly (8) .

Remove spacers (18), sheave assemblies (17,) and plates (16) .

Remove washers (19) from sheave assembly (17) .

Remove seal (20) from sheave assembly (17) .

Use a suitable press in order to remove bearing (21) (not shown) from sheave assembly (17) .
Repeat Steps 6 through 8 for the remaining sheave assemblies.

Remove bolt (22), pin assembly (24), and pins (25) from plate (26). Remove retainer (23) from the pin assembly (24) .
