Attach Tooling (A) to the left and right sides of the front axle assembly, as shown.
Attach a hoist, Tooling (B), and suitable lifting slings to Tooling (A) .
Install the front axle housing to the machine. The weight of the front axle housing is 5230 kg (11500 lb).
Install bolts (3), the washers, and the eight nuts to each side of axle housing (4). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 2000 250 N m (1480 185 lb ft).

Install hose assembly (1) to block (4) .
Fill the front axle housing and final drives with oil. For additional information, refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the machine that is being serviced.
Purge air from the front service brakes. Refer to the Systems Operation, Testing, & Adjusting Manual for the machine that is being serviced for the proper procedure.
Check the oil level of the hydraulic tank. Refer to the Operations and Maintenance Manual for the machine that is being serviced for the proper procedure.End By:
Install the front axle guards. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Axle Guards (Front) - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
Install the front wheel assemblies. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tire and Rim (Front) - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
Install the front drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Front) and Drive Shaft Carrier Bearing - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect" for the machine that is being serviced.
