Stack the proper amount of shims in order to reduce the gap to less than 1 mm (0.04 inch). (27) The collets and the mating surfaces should be clean. Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound to the outside diameter of the collets. Tighten the nuts for the threaded rod to a torque of 1800 200 N m (1325 150 lb ft). Tap the collet assembly until the torque is less than 900 N m (665 lb ft). Torque the nuts to 1800 200 N m (1325 150 lb ft). Tap the collet assembly until the torque for the nuts is less than 1600 N m (1200 lb ft). Torque the nuts again. The torque should be 1800 200 N m (1325 150 lb ft).Note: After fifty hours of operation, torque the nuts to 1800 200 N m (1325 150 lb ft). (30) The collets and the mating surfaces should be clean.
