Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Assemble parking brake (7) and install springs (6) .

Install lever assembly (4) and position brake assembly (6) .
Install bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) to 120 20 N m (89 15 lb ft).

Install brake drum (3) .

Position retainer (2) and install bolt (1). Tighten bolt (1) to 120 20 N m (89 15 lb ft).
Adjust the parking brake. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Parking Brake Control - Adjust" for the correct procedure.End By: Install the drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
