INSTALLATION OF MORE RELIABLE ELECTRICAL PARTS AND HARNESSES ON 992C (49Z) LOADERS For parts needed, refer to January 3, 1985 Service Letter, PI7087. All 992C Loaders from 49Z1-49Z373 are included in this Program. However, several of these loaders already have some of the new parts, so some of the steps will not apply to such loaders. If in doubt, check the existing part number on the loader, or look in the Parts Book fiche. Miscellaneous Parts 1. Replace both oil pressure switches (formerly 9G8010) with new switches (normally open). 2. Replace the fuel filter switch (formerly 9G8011) with the new switch (normally closed). 3. Replace the horn switch (4K670) on cab floor with new switch. 4. Install new hour meter. Use either 8T701 or 8T702 Film, whichever matches the face of the hour meter shipped in the kit. Before installing the decal on meter face, write the old hour meter reading in the upper box on the decal. Peel off the perforated section of the decal and stick it on the new meter. 5. If the loader has a cab, install the new lamp assembly and the front wiper motor. Wires on wiper motor may have female connectors which must be replaced with male connectors in order to connect with existing harness. 6. If a rear window wiper is used, install the rear wiper motor. Female connectors on motor wires must be replaced by male connectors, if necessary. New Transmission Neutral Switch and Backup Alarm Switch 1. Remove following parts from transmission control group: a. End bracket connected to the control cable. Illustration 1. b. Transmission neutral switch installed on end bracket and backup alarm switch on the transmission control lock. c. Yoke end from end of cable. 2. Assemble one each of the following six new parts into one switching unit: a switch, 5V965 seal, an actuator,
