Tighten bolts (9) evenly to ... 50 lb.ft.(6.9 mkg)4. Slowly turn the wheel and again tighten bolts (9) evenly to ... 50 lb.ft.(6.9 mkg)5. Use a depth micrometer (10) to measure the distance to the end of spindle housing (1) from the outside face of retainer (8) through the two holes with threads in retainer. Find the average depth of the two holes.6. Measure the thickness of retainer (8) at two places with an outside micrometer. Find the average thickness. Find the difference between this average thickness and the average depth found in Step 5.7. Install a thickness of shims (5) the same as the difference found in Step 6 plus ... .012 in.(0.30 mm)8. Install shims (5) from Step 7. Install retainer (8) and bolts (9). Tighten bolts to standard torque.9. Install wire through bolts. Wire must not go over bolt heads. Off Machine Adjustment Procedure:
