(3) Steering Pump Fan drive pump (1) is a variable displacement axial piston pump. The pump provides the oil flow that is needed to operate the hydraulic fan motor.Fan drive pump (1) is mounted to the rear of steering charge pump (2) which is mounted to the rear of steering pump (3). Steering pump (3) is mounted to the upper left portion of the engine flywheel housing.Fan Drive Motor

(4) Fan Drive Motor Fan drive motor (4) is a fixed displacement bent axis motor. This hydraulic motor turns the fan that pulls air through the radiator. An optional bidirectional fan motor is available. This fan motor requires the optional reversing valve.Fan drive motor (4) is located at the front of the machine in front of the radiator and in the middle of the radiator guard.Pressure Tap

(1) Fan Drive Pump
(5) Pump Outlet Pressure Tap (“HFPD”) Pressure tap (5) that is marked “HFPD” measures the pressure of the oil at the outlet side of fan drive pump (1). This is the oil that is delivered to the inlet side of the fan drive motor.Pressure tap (5) is located on fan drive pump (1), as shown.Fan Reversing Valve (If Equipped)

(4) Fan Drive Motor
(6) Fan Reversing Valve If the machine is equipped with the optional reversing fan, fan reversing valve (6) is installed. Fan reversing valve (6) controls the direction of the flow of oil to the fan drive motor. The direction of the flow of oil determines the direction of rotation of the fan.Fan reversing valve (6) is located inside the front radiator guard. This location is at the lower left side of the machine behind the left door for the grill. The valve is located to the left below the fan drive motor.Hydraulic Oil Cooler and Bypass Valve

(7) Hydraulic Oil Cooler
(8) Bypass Valve Hydraulic oil cooler (7) is located in front of the engine and behind the radiator on the right side of the radiator guard. The hydraulic oil cooler cools the oil that comes from the outlet of the fan motor.Hydraulic oil cooler (7) contains bypass valve (8) that allows the oil to flow directly from the cooler inlet to the cooler outlet when the oil is cold.
