Steering Control Valve
(1) Control manifold
(2) Crossover relief valve
(2A) Adjustment screw
(2B) Nut
Remove crossover relief valve (2) for the steering cylinder work port. Crossover relief valve is located in the steering control valve. The steering control valve is located in front of the transmission housing in the hitch area. The crossover relief valve needs to be bench tested. Remove the valve.
Secure test manifold block (H) in a suitable holding device.
Install two adapters (J) and two quick connect couplers (K) in test manifold block (H).
Attach two quick connect couplers (L) to two hose assemblies (M).

(2) Steering crossover valve
(2A) Locknut
(2B) Adjustment screw
(H) Test manifold block
(aa) Port for the return oil
(bb) Port for the pressure line from electric hydraulic pump group (F)
Install crossover relief valve (2) into test manifold block (H).
Install oil return line to port (aa).
Install the pressure oil line from electric hydraulic pump group (F) to port (bb).Note: Ensure that the hose assemblies are connected to the proper test port. If the lines are not connected correctly, the relief valve setting will be incorrect.
Turn electric hydraulic pump group (F) into the ON position. Check for leaks at all of the connections.
The 3S-6224 Electric Hydraulic Pump only has a 7.6 L (2 US gal) reservoir. Pump damage may result if the pump is operated with an empty reservoir.
Slowly increase the pressure. Record the pressure when the crossover relief valve opens.
Shut off electric hydraulic pump group (F).The pressure of the crossover relief valve should be 25,600 1,300 kPa (3,713 189 psi) at a flow rate of 21 2 L/min (5.5 0.5 US gpm). If the pressure setting is within the specified pressure range, install the crossover relief valve back into control manifold (1).Adjust Procedure
Loosen the locknut (2A). Turn the adjustment screw (2B) counterclockwise in order to lower the pressure of the valve. Turn the adjustment screw (2B) clockwise in order to increase the pressure of the valve. Tighten the locknut (2A) to 20 3 N m (15 2.2 lb ft) after the correct pressure is reached. The valve is faulty if the adjustment screw does not affect the pressure. Replace
