1. Install two 5/8"-11 NC guide pins (1) in the upper frame. 2. Remove tooling (C) from under the front of the upper frame.3. Move the undercarriage into position under the upper frame. Make sure the guide pins are in correct alignment with the holes in the swing bearing.
The upper frame must be kept in a level position at all times during installation of the undercarriage.
4. Slowly lower the upper frame on the undercarriage with tooling (A) and (B). If the pinion is not in alignment with the swing gear, removal of the swing motor will be necessary to turn the input shaft of the swing drive until the pinion is in alignment with the swing gear. Use tooling (D) to turn the pinion. 5. Put 5P960 Multipurpose Type Grease on the bolt threads and washer faces. Install the washer and bolts (4). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 225 20 lb.ft. (300 25 N m).6. Install pipe nipple (3). Connect grease line (2) to the swing bearing. 7. Install bracket (5) as shown. Install the two bolts that hold it in place. 8. Connect oil lines (6), (7), (8) and (9) for the track motors to the rotor. 9. Connect track motor return lines (10) and (13).10. Connect parking brake oil lines (11) and (12). 11. Connect oil lines (14) and (15) to the swivel group.12. Remove tooling (A) and (B) from under the rear of the machine and boom. Lower the boom to the floor.13. Remove the cables from the boom cylinders.14. Install the sun gear in the final drive. If the sun gear does not make alignment with the other gears, slowly operate the track. Install the gear. 15. Install washer and bolt (17) in the final drive. Install the O-ring seal on the plug. Install plug (16). Do this procedure to the other final drive.end by:a) install stick
