Remove two bolts (5) and remove manifold (6.) .
Remove the O-ring seal from manifold (6) .

Remove two bolts (7) and relief valve (8) .
Remove the O-ring seal from relief valve (8) .

Install belt tensioner cylinder (2) in Tooling (A) .Note: Align rod assembly (9) with the notch on the side and at the bottom of Tooling (A) .

Install a strap and a hoist to cap (11) .
Remove four bolts and washers (10) .
Remove cap (11) from tensioner cylinder (2). The weight of cap (11) is 27 kg (60 lb).

Remove O-ring seal (12) and head seal (13) from cap (11) .

Remove the bolt and washer (14) from piston (15) in tensioner cylinder (2) by using Tooling (D) and Tooling (E) .

Install Tooling (B) to piston (15) .
Remove piston (15) from tensioner cylinder (2) .

Remove seal assembly (16) and wear ring (17) from piston (15) .

Install two straps and a hoist around the top coils of spring (18). The straps should be positioned 180 degrees away from each other, as shown.
Install four pieces of cardboard (X) that has been cut to 711 mm (28 inch) by 51 mm (2 inch). The cardboard should be positioned 90 degrees away from each other.
Insert cardboard (X) between the wall of tensioner cylinder (2) and spring (18) .
While you remove spring (18), periodically stop moving spring (18). This should be done so that you can move down cardboard (X) into the bore of tensioner cylinder (2). Continue removing spring (18) until the spring is completely removed. The weight of the spring is 78 kg (170 lb).

Install Tooling (C) to tensioner cylinder (2) .
Lift tensioner cylinder (2) off the rod assembly. The weight of tensioner cylinder (2) is 106 kg (235 lb).

Remove lip seal (19), two U-cup seals (20), and wear ring (21) from tensioner cylinder (2), if necessary.

Install bolt (14) and a strap to rod assembly (9) .
Remove rod assembly (9) from Tooling (A). The weight of rod assembly (9) is 33 kg (73 lb).

Remove two rings (22) and aligning bearing (23) from rod assembly (9), if necessary.
