Removal Procedure
Start By:
Purge the air from the air tanks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Tanks (Brake) - Purge".
Remove the front cover from the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cover (Cab Front) - Remove and Install".
In order to prevent possible personal injury, release the air pressure from the air tank before disconnecting any components of the air system.
Put identification marks on all hose assemblies, tube assemblies and wire harnesses for installation purposes. Note: Install caps and plugs on all openings in order to prevent dirt or debris from entering the system. Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will prevent dirt from entering the internal components.

Disconnect hose assembly (1) from the supply air manifold.

Disconnect hose assembly (2) from the brake double check valve.

Disconnect wire harness (3) from the accelerator control rotary position sensor at the electrical connection.

Remove four bolts (4) and the washers that secure the brake pedal plate to the floor.

Disconnect hose assembly (1) from elbow (5). Remove elbow (5) from the service brake air control valve.

Disconnect hose assembly (2) from elbow (6). Remove elbow (6) from the service brake air control valve.

Remove three bolts (7) that secure service brake air control valve (8) to the brake pedal plate. Remove service brake air control valve (8) from the brake pedal plate.
