Remove the rear tires and rims.
Remove the rear axle shaft.
Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.Make sure all of the work tools have been lowered to the ground, and the oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
Drain the oil from the service and parking brakes into a suitable container for storage or disposal.

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to support the weight of final drive, brake, and wheel (1). The weight of final drive, brake, and wheel (1) is approximately 7802 kg (17200 lb).

Disconnect hose assembly (2). Remove tube assembly (3). Remove clamps (4). Disconnect hose assemblies (5).

Remove guard (6). Disconnect harness assembly (7). Remove tube assembly (8). Remove bracket assembly (9).

Remove two of bolts (10) that are equally spaced. Install Tooling (B) to support spacer ring (11). The weight of spacer ring (11) is approximately 91 kg (200 lb).

Personal injury or death can occur from heavy components falling during removal or installation.Properly support the component with a suitable lifting device during removal or installation.
Remove the remaining bolts (10).Note: Discard bolts (10). Do not reuse bolts (10).
Remove final drive, brake, and wheel (1).

Use a suitable lifting device to remove spacer ring (11). The weight of spacer ring (11) is approximately 86 kg (190 lb). Remove O-ring seals (12).Installation Procedure
Install final drive, brake, and wheel (1) in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Inspect the O-ring seals and spacers. Replace the O-ring seals and spacers that are worn or damaged.
Apply Tooling (C) onto new bolts (10).
Tighten new bolts (10) to a torque of 800 50 N m (590 37 lb ft). Repeat the tightening procedure to ensure that the bolts are tightened to 800 50 N m (590 37 lb ft). Turn each bolt by an additional 120 5 Degrees.
Remove the air from the brakes. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Brake System Air - Purge".
Perform a baseline measurement on the service brakes. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Service Brake Discs - Check". Record baseline measurement in "Worksheets" to be kept with the wheel group.
