Perform the following procedure for installing the new mounting hardware:

Bolted joints to service in field
Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR8727, "795F AC and 795F AC XQ Off-Highway Truck Machine Systems" to remove all four resistor elements and the intake screen.
Personal injury or death can occur from heavy components falling during removal or installation.Properly support the component with a suitable lifting device during removal or installation.
In order to prevent damage to Electric Retarder, use proper lifting device to support during removal process.
With the grid assembly still laying with the 293-2208 Electric Retarder Gp down, locate and remove the bottom five mounting bolts. Then, locate and remove the existing weld nuts on the inside of the Grid Fan Support Structure. Use a grinder to remove the paint and any remaining weld material around the existing hole.Note: Removal of the five mounting bolts will allow the 293-2208 Electric Retarder Gp to become unsupported by the Grid Support Structure.

Once the weld nuts are removed, use a 3/4" (19 mm) drill to make a 1/4" (5 mm) deep recess at each of the bolt hole location on the inside of the Grid Support Structure.

Do not ground the welder to electrical components such as the ECM or sensors. Improper grounding can cause damage to the drive train bearings, hydraulic components, electrical components, and other components.Clamp the ground cable from the welder to the component that will be welded. Place the clamp as close as possible to the weld. This will help reduce the possibility of damage.
Insert the new 8T-5911 Weld Nuts into each of five holes with the smaller diameter in the recessed area of the hole. Assure that the weld nut
