Problem
The seat belts in DJB-built trucks are fastened to the seat. This method of installation is not appropriate. New seat belts which will be fastened to the cab and to the seat need to be installed.
Affected Product
All DJB-built Trucks between 9VA2671-7706 A "9VA0" prefix must be used with the DJB serial number in all correspondence and inquiries. An example of this is DJB 6108 should be referred to as 9VA06108, 6404 should be referred to as 9VA06404, etc. The "9VA0" prefix should be used with all trucks which have the DJB trademark. Later trucks that have the Caterpillar trademark will have different serial number prefixes.
Parts Needed
1-7V9506 Belt Group 2-8S933 Eyebolt 2-8S934 Nut
Action Required
Drill two 12mm (.469") diameter holes in the floor of the cab. See Illustrations 1-5 for the locations of the holes. Install the eyebolts and nuts that hold the tether belts to the floor. Fasten the tether belt and seat belt to the seat as shown in Illustration 6.
