(2) Tack weld 5V4711 Gusset (1) in position under each side at the front of the cab. Make .12" (3.0) fillet welds along sides (A), (B) and (C). Do not weld across the three ends of each gusset. (3) Tack weld a 5V4709 Gusset (2) inside each lower rear corner. Make a .12" (3.0) fillet weld along both sides at location (D). Tack weld a 5V4708 Gusset in each upper rear corner. Use the same procedure to install these gussets as was used for gussets (2). (4) Install 5V4716 Gussets (3) and 5V4710 Gussets (4) on the rear corners (outside) of the cab as shown. Make .12" (3.0) fillet welds along each side of gussets (3) and (4). Do not weld along ends (E) and (F) of the gussets. (5) Tack weld 5V4956 Gusset (6) inside the right rear lower corner of the cab. Make .12" (3.0) fillet welds around all sides of gussets (6) except at location (H). Use the same procedure to install a 5V4957 Gusset inside the left rear lower corner of the cab. (6) Tack weld 5V4707 Plate (7) in the front top corner of each door opening as shown. Straight edges (J) should be toward the inside of the cab. Make .12" (3.0) fillet welds along each side of the plates. Do not weld across ends (K). (7) Tack weld a 5V4712 Plate (8) in position under each front window post. Make .12" (3.0) fillet welds along each side of plate (8). Do not weld along the ends of the plate. Tack weld plate (9) [5V4955 - left side; 5V4954 - right side] on the inside of the cab under the front window post. Make .12" (3.0) fillet welds along each side of plates (9). Do not connect the welds together at ends (L) of the plates. (8) If a 4V7636 Cab Repair Group is being installed along with a 5V4958 Cab Repair Group, install 5V4953 Plate (10) before pipe (11) and gussets (12) and (13) are installed. Tack weld 5V4953 Plate (10) in position at the bottom of each front window post. Make .12" (3.0) fillet welds all around plate (10). On cabs that already have 4V7636 Repair Groups installed, do not install plate (10).
