1. Clean and inspect all parts. Replace all parts that are worn or damaged.2. Put clean SAE 10W oil on all parts. 3. Use Tooling (A) to install two bearings (1) in body (3). Install the bearings with each joint (X) 30° 15° toward outlet hole (2) from the horizontal center line of the two bearings. Install the bearings to a depth of 1.50 0.25 mm (0.059 0.010 inch) below the surface.4. Check the diameter of the bearings. The diameter of the bearings must be 31.778 to 31.794 mm (1.2511 to 1.2517 inch) after installation.5. Put O-ring seal (4) in position in body (3). 6. Install shaft assembly (5) on body (3).7. Put key (6) in position in gear assembly (5). 8. If dowels (8) were removed from the body, install the four dowels in the body (7) until they extend 5.0 0.5 mm (0.20 0.02 inch) from the surface of the body.9. Put body (7) in position on body (3).10. Put gear (9) in position on the gear assembly and install gear (10) in the body. 11. Use Tooling (A) to install two bearings (14) in manifold (11). Install the bearings with each joint (Y) 30° 15° toward outlet port (12) from the horizontal center line of the two bearings. Install the bearings to a depth of 1.50 0.25 mm (0.059 0.10 inch) below the surface.12. Check the diameter of the bearings. The diameter of the bearings must be 31.778 to 31.794 mm (1.2511 to 1.2517 inch) after installation.13. Put O-ring seal (13) in position in manifold (11). 14. Put manifold (11) in position on body (7). Install two bolts (15). 15. Put gear assembly (17) in position in body (3) and in the gear.16. Put O-ring seal (16) in position in body (3). 17. If dowels (18) were removed from body (19), install the four dowels until they extend 5.0 0.5 mm (0.20 0.02 inch) from the surface.18. Put body (19) in position on body (3).19. Install key (20) in gear assembly (5). 20. Put gears (21) and (22) in position on the gear assemblies. 21. Use Tooling (A) to install two bearings (23) in body (24). Install the bearings with the joint 30° 15° toward slot (26) from the center line of the two bearings. Install the bearings until they are 1.57 mm (0.062 inch) below the surface.22. Check the diameter of the bearings. The diameter of the bearings must be 31.778 to 31.794 mm (1.2511 to 1.2517 inch) after installation.23. Put O-ring seal (25) in position on body (24). 24. Put body (24) in position on body (19) and install bolts (28).25. Put key (27) in position in the gear assembly. 26. Put gear (31) in position on the key and gear assembly. Install washer (30) and locknut (29). Tighten the locknut to a torque of 110 13 N m (80 10 lb ft).27. Lubricate the pump with clean SAE 10W oil.
