Fill the Aurolube reservoir. This is done to ensurethat the cable connecting the follower plate to the manual level indicatorhas enough slack to lift the tank lid.
Bleed and disconnect hydraulic lines so the lidcan be lifted 8-12". Disconnect electrical harness.
Remove the 9/16" bolts holding the lid.

Pry the lid as shown below or wind a strap underthe hydraulic motor and lift the lid off with a hoist.
Lift the lid. Do not lift the lid much higherthan 12" as the grease intake tube or the vent tube may come out of thefollower plate.
Remove the old weight, lampcord and tiny key ringat the end of the chain.
Position a shop towel over the tank opening, directlyunder the low level plunger so that when the plunger hole is drilled outthe machine grit will not enter the tank.
