Turn the power disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Remove lid assemblies (1) .

Remove cover (2) and cover assembly (3) .

Disconnect the negative battery cables (4) .

Remove nut (5) and disconnect cable assembly (6). Remove nut (7) and disconnect strap assembly (8) .

Remove lever (9), nut (10), and lockwasher (11) .

Remove switch assembly (12). Disconnect harness assembly (13) .

Open guard (14). Remove nut (15) and lockwasher (16). Remove switch assembly (17) .Installation Procedure
Install switch assembly (17) and switch assembly (12) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten nut (15) to a torque of 2.2 0.1 N m (19.5 0.9 lb in).
Tighten nut (10) to a torque of 23 4 N m (17 3 lb ft).
Tighten nut (7) and nut (5) to a torque of 19 2 N m (14 1.5 lb ft).
Turn the power disconnect switch to the OFF position.
