Implement pilot/brake pump (20) provides oil flow for both the implement pilot circuit, and the service brakes. Implement pilot/brake pump (20) provides the hydraulic oil flow to the implement pilot circuit before flowing to accumulator charging valve (12) .Accumulator charging valve (12) controls the amount of oil that flows to brake accumulators (7) and (8) .Accumulator charging valve (12) contains an inverse shuttle check valve. The third port in the inverse shuttle check valve is used to connect service brake oil pressure switch (16). Service brake oil pressure switch (16) alerts the operator when there is inadequate pressure in order to charge brake accumulators (7) and (8) .Pressurized oil then flows from the inverse shuttle valve in accumulator charging valve (12) to the oil end of two brake accumulators (7) and (8). Accumulators (7) and (8) contain a precharge of dry nitrogen of approximately 5520 kPa (800 psi). As pressurized oil flows into each accumulator, the pressurized oil compresses against the piston. This compresses the dry nitrogen until the oil pressure reaches 14485 345 kPa (2100 50 psi). The oil then flows to service brake control valve (6) .Service Brakes
Each brake application removes some of the oil from brake accumulators (7) and (8). The piston in each accumulator moves toward the oil end of the accumulator until there is a decrease in oil pressure of approximately 2755 kPa (400 psi). Accumulator charging valve (12) then permits oil from the hydraulic pump to flow to brake accumulators (7) and (8) until the pressure again rises to 14485 345 kPa (2100 50 psi).Service brake control valve (6) controls front service brakes (1), and rear service brakes (11). This valve is in the hydraulic lines between the accumulators and the service brakes. The left and the right service brake pedals are connected by a mechanical linkage.
