( 4 ) Use 8T-9021 Adhesive to bond areas (CA). Make sure that you keep the adhesive out of the threads.
( 5 ) The bolt anchor is used only for the field installation of the panel. The bolt anchor is not serviced separately.
( 6 ) Screw (93) should be used with bolt anchor (92) .Note: Items (89) and (90) in Table 13 are not shown in Illustration 25.Note: The following steps are for the installation of the bolt anchor.
Use a 12.0 mm (0.47 inch) diameter of drill bit to produce holes (BQ) in the 124-4665 Trim Panel . Make sure that you turn the drill bit by hand in order to produce the holes. See Illustration 25 and Table 13 for the location of the holes and the size of the holes.Note: If an electric drill is used, the drill bit may catch the carpet and/or the drill bit may wrap the carpet around the drill bit. This could produce an oversize hole.
Use the utility knife to cut the rectangular hole in the panel.Note: If a finished look is desired, remove the fiberglass material from the back side of the panel at the rectangular hole location. Then cut the carpet so the carpet can be wrapped and bonded in place. Wrap the carpet and bond the carpet at the top of the opening. Wrap the carpet and bond the carpet at the bottom of the opening.
Mark the panel and cut a recess in the panel for the anchor. This should be done on the back of the 124-4665 Trim Panel at each hole (BQ). Use the nut end of the anchor bolt as a pattern. The recess should be approximately 50 x 10 x 8 mm (2 x .4 x .3 inch).
Push bolt anchor (92) through the holes that were previously drilled in the panel. Allow the nut to rotate. Lock the nut in place in the recess that is on the back of the panel.Note: When the 124-4665 Trim Panel is recessed properly screw (93) will start in the threads of the nut. This will also leave dimension (BZ) above the front surface of the panel. See
