2. Remove bolt (1) that holds the oil level gauge to the engine oil cooler.3. Loosen nuts (3) and (4). Remove oil level gauge (2) from the oil pan. 4. Loosen two clamps (7). Loosen two clamps (6) and two clamps (9). On later machines, it will be necessary to disconnect the line from the air cleaner indicator.5. Remove bolts (8) that hold the engine oil cooler to the cylinder block. Remove engine oil cooler (5). 6. Remove two bolts (11). Remove pipe (12).7. Remove the bolts that hold pipe (10) to the engine oil cooler. Remove the pipe.Install Engine Oil Cooler
This operation was done on an earlier machine. 1. Clean the tube bundles in core assembly (1) with a .172 in. (4.37 mm) diameter rod.2. Put new gaskets between the inlet and outlet pipes for the engine oil cooler. 3. Put outlet water pipe (2) in position against the core assembly. Install the bolts that hold it.4. Put inlet water pipe (3) against the core assembly. Install the bolts that hold it. 5. Put the engine oil cooler (4) in position against the cylinder block. Install the bolts that hold it.6. Install two hoses (5) and (7). Tighten the clamps that hold them.7. Install hose (6). Tighten the two clamps that hold it. On later machines, connect the line to the air cleaner indicator.8. This operation was done on an earlier machine.1. Remove the front crankcase guard. The weight is 375 lb. (170 kg).2. Drain the coolant from the cooling system.3. Drain the oil from the transmission. 4. Disconnect heater hose (1) if so equipped.5. Loosen four clamps (3) and slide two hoses (5) on to bonnet (2).6. Remove four bolts (4) and remove bonnet (2).7. Disconnect inlet oil line (6) from the transmission oil cooler core. 8. Disconnect outlet oil line (8) from the transmission oil cooler core.9. Remove two bolts (9) and nuts. Remove transmission oil cooler core (7).10. Remove bonnet (10) from the transmission oil cooler core.Install Transmission Oil Cooler

Install bonnet (2) on the outlet side of the transmission oil cooler core. 3. Put transmission oil cooler core (1) in position and install two bolts (4) and nuts that hold it in place.4. Connect outlet oil line (3) to the transmission oil cooler core. 5. Put bonnet (6) in position and install bolts (7) that hold it in place.6. Connect inlet oil line (10) to the transmission oil cooler core.7. Slide two hoses (9) in position and tighten four clamps (8).8. Connect heater hose (5) if so equipped.9. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. Fill the transmission with oil to the correct level. See
