Removal Procedure
At the operating temperature, the engine jacket water system is hot and under pressure. Hot engine coolant and steam can cause burns.Remove the breather cap when the engine is stopped and the breather cap is cool enough to touch. Slowly loosen the breather cap in order to release any pressure in the tank. Be cautious of hot engine coolant when any hose assemblies are disconnected in the engine coolant system.

Remove twelve screws (1) .

Slightly open front cover (5). Open the front cover enough to loosen two hose clamps (2). Open the front cover enough to disconnect hoses (3) and (4) .

Put the front cover aside. Be careful not to damage the thermostat capillary tube.Note: When the cover is opened, do not allow the thermostat capillary tube to be crimped. If this tube is crimped, the thermostat must be replaced.

Identify the position of electrical connector (11). Remove nut (7), the washer, and clip (9). Disconnect the harness.
Remove remaining two nuts (7), the two washers, plate (10), and cab fan motor (8) .Note: Mark the orientation of plate (10) .Note: Mark the position of each fan assembly as either right or left. The fan motors are not interchangeable. The fan wheels are not interchangeable.

Remove bracket (18) .
Loosen screw (14). Remove wheel (16) .
Remove two nuts (13), the two washers, bracket (15), and spacer (12) from motor (17) .
Repeat Steps 4 through 8 for fan assembly (6) .
