HOSE AS 2818444 - Caterpillar

1. Remove four screws (1) and pull panel (4) out from the cab frame.2. Remove wiper switches as follows: a) Remove knob (3) and locknut (2) from the wiper switch. b) Put identification on the wires connected to wiper switch for correct assembly. Disconnect wires (7) from the wiper switch.c) Remove nut (6) and remove switch (8) from the back side of the panel.3. Remove the fuse as follows: a) Push in on cap (5) and turn the cap counterclockwise and remove the cap and fuse.4. Remove fuse holders as follows: a) Put identification on the wires connected to the fuse holder for correct installation. Disconnect wires (11).b) Loosen nut (9) and remove it from the fuse holder. The notch (slot) in the nut must be in alignment with the side terminal of the fuse holder.c) Remove fuse holder (10) through the front of the panel.Install Wiper Fuse And Switch Panel
These illustrations are of an earlier production machine.1. Install fuse holders as follows: a) Install seal (1) on fuse holder (2) and install the fuse holder through the front of the panel.b) Install the nut on the fuse holder that holds it in place. The groove (slot) in the nut must be in alignment with the side terminal of the fuse holder.c) Connect the wires to the correct terminals on the fuse holder.2. Install fuses as follows: a) Slide the fuse into the fuse holder. b) Install cap (3) and turn it clockwise.3. Install wiper switch as follows: a) Install wiper switch (4) through the back side of the panel. b) Install nut (6) and locknut (7) that holds the wiper switch in place.c) Connect the wires to the correct terminals on the wiper switch.d) Install knob (5). 4. Put panel (11) in position in the cab frame. Install four screws (12) and (13) that hold the panel in place.
