Parking Brake
Do not engage the parking brake while the machine is moving unless an emergency exists. The use of the parking brake as a service brake in regular operation will cause severe damage to the parking brake system.
Parking Brake - The parking brake knob is located on the operators control panel.
Parking Brake Engaged - Push down on the knob to engage the parking brake.
Parking Brake Disengaged - Pull up on the knob to release the parking brake.Steering Wheel
Steering Wheel - The directional steering, of the machine, is controlled by the steering wheel. The direction the steering wheel is turned, is the direction that the machine will turn.
Left Turn - Move the steering wheel in a counterclockwise direction to steer the machine, to the left. The further the steering wheel is turned in a counterclockwise direction the sharper the left turn.
Right Turn - Move the steering wheel in a clockwise direction to steer the machine, to the right. The further the steering wheel is turned in a clockwise direction the sharper the right turn.Propel Control Lever
Forward (1) - To move the machine forward, slowly push the propel lever forward away from center. The farther forward the lever is pushed the faster the machine will travel.
Stop (2) - To stop the machine move the propulsion control lever to the stop position. This procedure should always be used as the primary method of stopping the machine.
Reverse (3) - Move the machine backward, slowly pull the propel lever back away from center. The farther back the lever is pulled the faster the machine will travel.Throttle Control Lever
Engine governor high idle has been set to run at 2345 rpm. This idle speed is necessary for optimum vibratory efficiency and should not be raised or lowered.
To start the machine, move the throttle control out to approximately one third throttle.To place the engine in low idle push the throttle control all the way in.To operate the machine, move the throttle control all the way out. The engine should always be run at full throttle during machine operation.Transmission Speed Range Switch
Stop machine to shift speed ranges. Do not change speed ranges while the machine is moving.
Low 1 - Move the transmission speed range switch forward to place the machine in LOW or working range. This reduces the overall machine speed, allowing the operator increased control. High (2) - Move the transmission speed range switch backward places the machine in HIGH or road range. This increases the overall machine speed and is used to move the machine from one job to another.Vibratory Control Switch
The vibratory control switch is used to select high amplitude, low amplitude or to shut the vibratory system off. Low Amplitude (1) - Push the vibratory switch forward for LOW amplitude. Off (2) - Move the vibratory switch to the center position to shut the vibratory system OFF (static mode). High Amplitude (3) - Pull the vibratory control switch backward for HIGH amplitude.Vibration On/Off Switch
