Air Inlet Select (48) (If Equipped)
Fresh Air Flow - Turn the air inlet dial to this position to select fresh air flow. When fresh air flow is selected, the air is drawn into the cab from the outside environment.
Recirculated Air Flow - Turn the air inlet dial to this position to select recirculated air flow. When recirculated air flow is selected, the air within the cab is recirculated. Recirculated air flow expedites defogging of the windows.Rear Wiper/Washer Switch (49)
Rear Window Wiper - Place the switch in the middle position to activate the rear window wiper. Push the bottom of the switch to shut off the window wiper.
Rear Window Washer - Push the top of the switch and hold to activate the rear window washer.Cab Door (If Equipped)
Illustration 20 g03694017Cab Doors - Pull the door latch to open the door. Open the door all the way to the fully open position. The door will remain in this position. Both doors operate the same way.The doors should be closed while you operate the machine. While the doors are shut, the windows can be opened for better cab air flow.

Door and Side Windows
The windows can be placed in a ventilating position, or opened fully.

Illustration 23 g06120589When a window is opened fully, the window will be secured to the adjoining window by a latch in the glass.To release the two windows, move the lever on the latch.Rear Window
Note: The rear window must be closed when the machine is operated with a work tool that may discharge debris. If the machine is not equipped with the rear window, a polycarbonate shield must be used when the machine is operated with a work tool that may discharge debris.
Illustration 24 g06120763Move the latches above the plastic handles to release the upper window from the LOCKED position. Pull the handles toward the seat and then push the handles upward until the latches engage to stow the window overhead.To lower the window from the stowed position, move the latches by the plastic handles. Pull the handles downward, and push the handles toward the rear of the machine until the latches lock into position.Note: Make sure that the rear window is free from obstructions before you open or before you close the rear window.Note: Make sure to not unintentionally move backhoe controls while opening or closing windows.Hood Release Lock
