start by:a) remove rear axle housing front supportb) remove axles (rear) 1. Disconnect brake lines (2) and (3) from the junction block.2. Remove the bolts, bracket (1) and the brake line junction block from the axle housing. Two 5/8"-11 NC forcing screws can be used to loosen differential (4) from the axle housing. 3. Fasten a hoist to the differential carrier with tooling (A) as shown. Remove bolts (5) and remove differential (4) from the axle housing. The weight of differential (4) is 180 kg (400 lb.).Install Rear Differential
1. Make sure the O-ring seal is installed around the differential carrier and put clean oil on it. 2. Fasten a hoist to differential (1) with tooling (A) as shown. Put differential (1) in position in the axle housing with the bevel gear toward the right hand wheel assembly and the dowel hole in the carrier in alignment with the dowel in the axle housing. 3. Put the brake line junction block and bracket (3) in position. Install all of bolts (2) to hold the differential in position. Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 475 50 N m (350 37 lb.ft.).4.
