(1) LOWER position (2) FLOAT position (3) HOLD position (4) RAISE positionThe hoist control is located on the transmission shift console on the right side of the operator's station. The hoist control has four positions. The positions are LOWER, FLOAT, HOLD, and RAISE. The machine should normally be operated with the hoist control in the FLOAT position.The hoist control is connected to the hoist control position sensor. The hoist control position sensor sends electrical signals to the Power Train/Chassis Electronic Control Module (Power Train/Chassis ECM).When the hoist control is released a spring will move the hoist control from the RAISE position to the HOLD position, or from the LOWER position to the FLOAT position.Reference: For more information on the hoist control position sensor, refer to: Systems Operations, Testing and Adjusting, "Position Sensor (Hoist Control)".
Do not use the hoist control when the body retaining pins are installed. Damage to the dump body may occur.

(1) RETRACT position (2) HOLD position (3) EJECT positionThe hoist control is located on the transmission shift console on the right side of the operator's station. The hoist control has four positions, however, two of these positions are HOLD positions. The remaining positions are, RETRACT and EJECT. The machine should normally be operated with the hoist control in one of the two the HOLD positions.The hoist control is connected to the hoist control position sensor. The hoist control position sensor sends electrical signals to the Power Train/Chassis Electronic Control Module (Power Train/Chassis ECM).When the hoist control is released a spring will move the hoist control from the EJECT position to the HOLD position, or from the RETRACT position to the HOLD position.Reference: For more information on the hoist control position sensor, refer to: Systems Operations, Testing and Adjusting, "Position Sensor (Hoist Control)".
Do not use the hoist control when the tailgate retaining pin is installed. Damage to the ejector body may occur.
