HOSE AS 2888863 - Caterpillar

1. Remove four bolts (1), then remove oil drain elbow (2). Remove the O-ring seals from the oil drain elbow.2. Install four 5/8" - 11 NC forged eyebolts in top of transmission. 3. Fasten a hoist to the transmission and remove the bolts (3) that hold the transmission (4) and transfer gears (5).4. Remove the transmission from the transfer gears. The weight of the transmission is 975 kg (2150 lb). The weight of the transfer gears is 748 kg (1650 lb). The following steps are for the connection of transmission to transfer gears (Output).5. Fasten a hoist to the transmission (4) and put it in position on the transfer gears. Turn the input flange to get the splines in alignment.6. Install the bolts that hold the transmission to the transfer gears.7. Install two new O-ring seals on the oil drain elbow. Install oil drain elbow (2) with the four bolts that hold it.End By:a. install transmission and transfer gears (input and output) (Install into the machine as a unit)
