In the operating mode, select the following menus: "Show", "Settings", "Machine" and "Calibration". The following window will appear.

Select the "Tree species" (1) for calibration.
Select "Settings" menu (5) in order to choose the method of calibration. The following window will appear. You can use a separate calibration for each species or the same calibration for all species.

Select the following methods of calibration.
An "X" in the "Length by tree species" box (8) means that the length calibration is done for each tree species. If an "X" does not appear in the "Length by tree species" box (8), the same length calibration is used for all trees.
An "X" in the "Separate first and remaing logs" box (9) means that you perform two length calibrations. One length calibration is for the first log and one is for the remaining logs. If an "X" does not appear in the "Separate first and remaing logs" box (9), you perform one calibration for all logs.
The computer can handle two different methods of processing and transmitting data between the computer and the data caliper. You can choose between "Kau" (10) or "Ktr" (11) .Reference: Systems Operation, RENR6128, "Computer Aided Bucking System for Windows? (CABSWIN)", "Data Caliper".
Select "Computer caliper" (11) in order to open the data file to the data caliper.Note: The length is calibrated in the "Remaining logs" window for all logs except the first log. "First log" differs from other logs because of the different type of bark that can be on certain tree species. The length for the first log is calibrated separately for each tree species.Note: If the tree specie has the same type of bark throughout the length of the tree, then only one length calibration is needed. If the bark is thicker on the bottom of the tree, the measuring wheel will penetrate more into the thicker bark. This will require a separate calibration.
If the value concerns the first log, select "Change" (4) in the "First Log" box. If the value concerns the remaining logs, select "Change" (4) in the "Remaining logs" box. The following window will appear.

Enter the "Machine measured" value (12). This is the value from the cutting list.
Enter the "Control measured" value (13). This is the actual measured value on the trunk.Note: The "Calibration" value (3) is the "Machine measured" value (12) minus the "Control measured" value (13) .
Select "OK". The calibration value is automatically calculated.
Select "History" box (6) in order to display information about the calibration. The following window will appear.

Click on the date in order to get information about the calibration that has been done.Manual Calibration
