Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Open hood (1) to the fully OPENED position. Note: Ensure that there is no tension on spring (4), prior to removal.
Remove support assembly (3) and spring (4).
Support hood (1) to disconnect support (2). The weight of hood (1) is approximately 70 kg (155 lb). Disconnect support (2). Lower hood (1) to the CLOSED position.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to hood (1). Remove bolts (5) and hood (1).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to hood (7). The weight of hood (7) is approximately 40 kg (90 lb). Remove bolts (6) and hood (7). Installation Procedure
Install hood (1) and hood (7) in the reverse order of removal.
