Unhook latch (6) and open the engine compartment.

Remove locking pin (8). Raise support bar (7). Lock the support bar in position with the locking pin.

Remove three bolts (10) with washers, and remove left side panel (9).

Remove three bolts (12) with washers, and remove right side panel (11).

Disconnect brake release hose assembly (13) from the propel pump. Hand tighten Tool (F) on the propel pump, and then loosen the cap one half turn to allow chamber venting. Use Tool (G) to plug the brake release hose assembly.Note: Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable container.
Assemble the tooling. Connect Tool (B) to Tool (C). Make two sets of tools.

Connect one Tool (C) to reverse pressure tap (14) in port "MB" on the section of the propel pump closest to the engine. Connect second Tool (C) to forward pressure tap (15) in port "MA" on the section of the propel pump closest to the engine.

Remove the bolt and nut from control lever (16). Disconnect servo link (17) from the lever.

Remove the plug from port "X1" (18) of the axle pump. Install Tool (E) in port "X1".
Remove the plug from port "X2" (19) of the axle pump. Install second Tool (E) in port "X2".
Connect one end of Tool (D) to the tap in port "X1" (18). Connect other end of Tool (D) to the tap in port "X2" (19).
Move engine start switch (5) to the START position. Release the switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes. Move throttle control switch (3) to the HIGH IDLE position.
Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool (H). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 49 6 °C (120 10 °F).
Move throttle control switch (3) to the LOW IDLE position.
Read the pressure on the gauges. The pressure on both gauges should be equal. If the pressure is equal, go to Step 26. If the pressure is not equal, go to Step 24.

Loosen locknut (20). Watch the pressure on the gauges. If necessary, rotate adjustment
