Removal Procedure
The harvester head frame may tip over when it is in the vertical position. Personal injury or death may result if this occurs. Secure the frame to the yoke with a chain or similar restraint prior to working on the harvester head.
In order to remove the upper roller, begin with the harvester head in the VERTICAL position. Secure the harvester head frame to the yoke with a suitable chain. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly, "Preparation for Disassembly" for detailed instructions.

Remove the nuts and retaining bolts (3) that are retaining axle shaft (1) for upper roller (2) to the frame.
Support upper roller (2). Remove axle shaft (1) for the upper roller from the harvester head.
Remove upper roller (2) and the spacers from the harvester head. The weight of upper roller (2) is approximately 0.5 kg (1 lb).Note: Clean all the parts. Check all the parts for wear or damage. Replace all worn parts or damaged parts. Installation Procedure
In order to install the upper roller, begin with the harvester head in the VERTICAL position. Secure the harvester head frame to the yoke with a suitable chain. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly, "Preparation for Disassembly" for detailed instructions.

Place upper roller (2) and the spacers in the frame in position. Install axle shaft (1) for upper roller (2) .
Rotate axle shaft (1) for upper roller (2) in order to install retaining bolts (3) and the nuts. Tighten the nuts.
Start the engine and remove the weight of the frame of the harvester head off the yoke. Remove the chain that is securing the harvester head frame to the yoke.
