Information:
Before you lower the attachment, make sure that no one is in the area around the machine.
The machine is equipped with an accumulator in the hydraulic system to control the lowering of the attachment when the engine is stopped.
The accumulator is located on the right side of the machine under the cab.
The bladder type accumulator is mounted to a block manifold. The accumulator stores potential energy by accumulating a quantity of pressurized hydraulic oil. The pressurized fluid is stored in a bladder type accumulator. A bag that contains gas is located within the accumulator. The medium that is used for charging is dry nitrogen.
The pressurized oil enters the accumulator and the fluid creates pressure within the accumulator. Energy is stored as the bag that is within the accumulator is compressed by the oil.
The accumulator supplies pressurized oil to the pilot valve when the engine is stopped.
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position.
Move the hydraulic lockout control to the UNLOCKED position.
Push the right joystick toward the front of the machine in order to lower the attachment to the ground. The joystick will return to the HOLD position when the control lever is released.Reference: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hand Controls (Joysticks)" for more information on operating the attachment.
After the attachment is lowered, relieve the pressure in the accumulator by moving the handle of the grapple control several times in different directions.
Move the hydraulic lockout control to the LOCKED position.
