Assemble two nuts (5) on rod (6) followed by two yoke rod ends (4) to the length specified. Tighten nuts (5) to 6 1 N m (53 9 lb in).Note: Be sure that both ends have equal thread engagement (within one thread).
Install link (3) on the actuator and secure with a new nut (1). Tighten nut (1) to 15 3 N m (133 27 lb in).Note: Ensure that the link is supported during tightening of the locknut to avoid causinginternal damage to the actuator from transferring the torque through the actuator shaft.

Install the rod assembly into the top hole on the engine throttle link and actuator link securing with spring pin assemblies (2). Refer to Illustration 3.
Flash machine with 503-7999 Machine Software Group or newer.
Attach Cat ET and run "Automatic Governor Actuator Calibration".
