2. Loosen nut (6) on the adjusting bolt. Turn nut (5) until the cutter belt tension is relieved.3. Remove three cutter belts (2) from power take-off sheave (1), idler (3) and cutter drive sheave (4). The following steps are for installation of the cutter belts.
To prevent damage to the cutter belts, never pry a cutter belt onto a pulley or sheave. If a replacement of the cutter belts is necessary, always use a new matched set. If only one cutter belt is replaced, the new cutter belt will carry all the load and will fail rapidly.
4. Install three cutter belts (2) on power take-off sheave (1), idler (3) and cutter drive sheave (4).5. Adjust the cutter belt tension. See the Operation And Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.
