When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

PROBLEM
Certain 0R7923 AND 10R2962 remanufactured turbochargers were built with turbine housings that contained fine debris. There is a small possibility that the debris could damage the turbine wheel blades if these turbochargers are operated.
ACTION REQUIRED
Some of the affected 0R7923 and 10R2962 Turbochargers have been recalled, inspected, cleaned, marked with a sticker, and returned to the parts distribution system.
1. Inspect all 0R7923 and 10R2962 Turbochargers in dealer parts stock for an inspection sticker on the outside of the package indicating it has been previously inspected.
2. Inspect the component serial number on the package label of all 0R7923 and 10R2962 Turbochargers in dealer parts stock to verify if the part is within the date range of January 25, 2011 - February 04, 2011 (OAC250001 - OBC049999).
Refer to the attached Rework Procedure for details.
SERVICE CLAIM ALLOWANCES
Submit one claim for all parts removed from dealer parts stock.
PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
Some of the affected 0R7923 and 10R2962 Turbochargers have been recalled, inspected, cleaned, marked with a sticker, and returned to the parts distribution system.
1. Inspect all 0R7923 and 10R2962 Turbochargers in dealer parts stock for an inspection sticker on the outside of the package indicating it has been previously inspected. (Image1.1.1)
- If the turbocharger package has an inspection sticker, mark the package to indicate it has been inspected according to this program (PI7####) and return the part to dealer parts stock. No further action is required.
- If the turbocharger does not have an inspection sticker, proceed to Step 2.

2. Inspect the component serial number on the package label of all 0R7923 and 10R2962 Turbochargers in dealer parts stock to verify if the part is within the date range of January 25, 2011 - February 04, 2011 (OAC250001 - OBC049999). Refer to the note below describing the component serial number shown in Image1.2.1.
- If the component serial number IS NOT from January 25, 2011 - February 04, 2011 (OAC250001 - OBC049999), mark the package to indicate the turbocharger has been inspected according to this program (PI7####) and return the part to dealer parts stock. No further action is required.
- If the component serial number IS from January 25, 2011 - February 04, 2011 (OAC250001 - OBC049999), remove the turbocharger from dealer parts stock.
The first five places of the component serial number are coded as follows:
