In order to relieve any pressure in the hydraulic tank, press and hold down the plunger on the breaker relief valve. The breaker relief valve is located on the front of the hydraulic tank.
Install a vacuum source on the main hydraulic tank in order to prevent excessive loss of hydraulic fluid during the procedure.
Clean the end of the steering control valve that is opposite to the spring in order to prevent contamination of the hydraulic system.

Steering control valve (1) This port remains plugged. (2) A drain line will be routed from this port to the steering tank. (3) Remove this orifice plug and replace the orifice plug with a 3D-4603 Pipe Plug . (4) Spring chamber (A) Plug
Remove plug (A) from the end of the steering control valve that is opposite to the spring (4) in order to replace 4T-4207 Orifice Plug (3) with a 3D-4603 Pipe Plug . Install plug (A) back into the steering control valve.

Remove plug (5) from the steering control valve.

Install an 8T-2353 Adapter and a 3J-7354 O-Ring Seal (7) in place of plug (5) .
Install an 8C-0564 Connector , a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal , and a 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal (6) onto adapter (7) .
Clean the area that surrounds the connections on the hydraulic tank in order to prevent contamination of the hydraulic system.

Remove the adapter, the sampling port, and the dust cap (8) .

Install a 6V-8636 Connector , a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal , and a 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal (10) onto tee adapter (11). Rotate tee adapter (11) upward in order to connect a new 214-0735 Hose As (9). Connect the other end of hose (9) to connector (6) on the steering control valve.

Hose (9) should be clipped to existing 236-0774 Hose As (13) at two locations (12). Use one 8M-2773 Clip , one 4S-4455 Clip , two 8T-4121 Hard Washers , one 8T-4133 Nut , and one 8T-4136 Bolt at each location (12) .Note: The locations for the hose clips can be accessed through the access panel that is located in the platform on the left side of the cab.
Clean all of the new hose connections in order to check the connections for leaks.
Remove the vacuum source from the hydraulic tank.
Remove the steering frame lock and properly secure the lock.
Start the machine and operate the machine for five to ten minutes in order to remove any air that may have been introduced into the hydraulic system.
Shut down the machine and inspect the modifications for leaks. Correct any leaks.
The machine may now be placed back into service.
