For your own safety and maximum service life of the machine, make a thorough walk-around inspection before mounting the machine to start the engine.Look around and under the machine for such items as loose or missing bolts, trash buildup, oil, coolant or fuel leaks. Inspect the condition and inflation of the tires, condition of the bucket, and the bucket linkage.Remove any trash and debris. Adjust tire inflation as needed. Measure Oil Level
1. Measure the oil level.2. The oil level can be measured with the engine stopped or the engine running and the oil warm.With the engine stopped, the oil level should be above the ADD mark on the ENGINE STOPPED side of the dipstick.With the engine running, the oil level should be between the FULL and the ADD OIL mark on the ENGINE RUNNING side of the dipstick. 3. Check Oil Level
At operating temperature, the hydraulic tank is hot and under pressure.Hot oil can cause burns.Remove the fill cap only when the engine is stopped, and the cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure.
