Screed Switch
The screed could fall. To avoid possible personal injury, extend the tow arm supports whenever the screed is raised.
A screed switch is located on both operator consoles.Move the switch to UP (1) to raise the screed for roading.Move the switch to DOWN (2) to lower the screed for paving.Tow Arm Support Lever
A tow arm support lever is located behind and to the inside of both operator seats. Extend the tow arm supports whenever the screed is raised when the machine is not paving. There is a lever by each operator's seat. Both supports can be controlled by either lever.Move the lever towards the center of the machine to extend the supports.Move the lever towards the outside of the machine to retract the supports.Screed Counterbalance Control (If Equipped)
The screed counterbalance control (if equipped) is located inside the right rear access cover on the top of the machine.
Typical ExampleTurn the control counterclockwise to increase downward screed force.Turn the control clockwise to decrease the downward screed force.Refer to "Machine Adjustments" for more information about the hydraulic screed counterbalance system.Truck Hitch Switch (If Equipped With Truck Hitch)
A truck hitch switch is located on both operator consoles.Move the switch to OPEN (1) to open the truck hitch before contacting a truck.Move the switch to CLOSE (2) to close the hitch after the truck and paver are in contact.
