Install plate (15). Apply Tooling (N) onto bolts (14). Install bolts (14). Tighten bolts (14) to a torque of 520 70 N m (384 52 lb ft).
Repeat Step 8 through Step 10 for the remaining plates (15) .

Use Tooling (J) and a suitable lifting device in order to remove carrier (13) from Tooling (G). The weight of carrier (13) is approximately 1321 kg (2912 lb).Assembly of the First Reduction Planetary Carrier
Use a suitable lifting device in order to position carrier (2) on Tooling (A). The weight of carrier (2) without the planetary gears is approximately 261 kg (575 lb).

Use Tooling (E) in order to install gear (7). The weight of gear (7) is approximately 47 kg (104 lb). Install Tooling (D) in order to keep gear (7) in position. Repeat this step for the remaining gears (7) .
Use a suitable lifting device in order to position Tooling (A) and carrier (2) onto Tooling (B). The weight of Tooling (A) and carrier (2) is approximately 1006 kg (2218 lb).

Remove Tooling (D) from carrier (2). Repeat this step for the remaining gears (7) .

Use Tooling (B) and Tooling (C) in order to press shaft (6) into carrier (2). Ensure that the location hole that is on shaft (6) is aligned with the alignment hole that is on carrier (2). Repeat this step for the remaining shafts (6) .Note: Slowly turn gear (7) as shaft (6) is pressed from carrier (2). In order to avoid damage to carrier (2), do not exceed 400 kN (90000 lb) of pressing force.

Use Tooling (M) in order to measure the distance from the top of carrier (2) to the top of shaft (6). Record the measurement as Dimension (Y) .

Install a number of shims (5) that is equal to Dimension (Y) minus 0.13 .03 mm (0.0051 0.0012 inch).
Install plate (4). Apply Tooling (N) onto bolts (3). Install bolts (3). Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 270 40 N m (199 30 lb ft).
Repeat Step 9 through Step 11 for the remaining plates.
